Meekness is not "weakness"
Learn to trust God's leading by letting Him lead people to their own discoveries.
Meekness is not weakness. Meekness is "strength reserved".
You may be able to tell someone the answer to a question...but "meekness" looks like consciously letting them make their own discovery.
My coaching style involves a lot letting people make their own discoveries (with Holy Spirit leading)...in the Bible Jesus did this through very intentional, sometimes triggering, question-asking.
With that said, there's a time and a place to be clear and direct, with authority.
Maturity looks like someone who can discern when meekness is needed.
"Do I need to say this? Or are they in process? Do I trust God can lead them?"
I often find myself asking these questions...
As I've matured through my own growth and as I've gained more coaching experience, I've learned God is truly a trustworthy leader. He wants people to succeed more than I do...
I was reminded of this while spending time with a handful of clients over the weekend. They came from all over the country to connect in-person. Each one has a call of leadership on their life...and it's been amazing to witness the Lord unfolding all this over time...through prayer...through healing...through growth decisions they're making...lots of maturity happening. I shared a few photos from the weekend. Very full but very refreshing.
The lesson: You can tell the true strength, power and maturity of a person by their discernment of when to be "meek". Are you tired from using all your strength? Practice your meekness.
